Vimanzza Cafe – New Kid On The Block

Vimanzza Café. A new kid on the block. A wonderful amalgamation of music and food, Vimanzza Café has a comfortable décor with a strong influence of music through everything.

Vimanzza

Right from tables in the form of round gramophone records or rectangular audio cassette, to LP records that chime together in the form of a wind chime hanging over the billing counter, everything screams music. Even the speakers!

The fun ambiance!

Vimanzza Café has a plethora of options on their menu, right from hot and cold beverages to breakfast items to pizzas, pastas and sandwiches, multiple types of dosas and even some Chinese and Biryani options.

With so much food on offer, we ended up sampling a little bit of everything.

Beverages

The French Press Coffee was a wonderful cup of strong, black coffee, a perfect ‘pick-me-up’. I could make a trip to this place specially for this. The Cold Brew, on the other hand, had been infused in a fruit infuser overnight for 8-10 hours. Made using 100% Arabica coffee, it was a decent option for people who prefer their black coffee cold.

Made using buffalo milk and served with ginger biscuits, the Authentic Indian Tea was ‘kadak’ chai, just the way I like it. PS: the biscuits alone are worth ordering the tea. Nice strong flavor of ginger in every bite. This is custom made for them by a local bakery.

The Black Grape Punch Juice is made in-house and is a sweet option for the kick in the mornings. Personally refrained from it as it was loaded with sugar.

All Day Breakfast

The Croque Madame Sandwich was a unique item on the menu. Made with cheese slice and chicken salami, it was topped with an egg sunny side up. Loved the oozing egg in every bite. The Scrambled Egg Breakfast Sandwich had rich and creamy scrambled eggs ensconced between soft fresh bread slices. #YumYum

Pastas and Pizzas

The Pink Sauce Pasta had a good balance of creamy and tangy sauces. Veggies added the much needed color and crunch to the dish. Another unique dish I tried was the Vimanzza Special Mac n Cheese Pizza. Some lovely flavors that worked very well together. #DeliciousDelicious

Sandwich

The Veg Grilled Sandwich had generous stuffing of tomatoes, onion, bell peppers and potato slices however was not overstuffed. Despite being grilled, the bread retained its softness which proves its freshness. Praphul confirmed it is baked fresh every morning.

Dosa

Vimanzza Café gave me a chance to try a very different type of stuffed dosa – the Four Cheese Dosa. Stuffed with cheddar, mozzarella, processed cheese and paneer, it went well with the coconut chutney. #CheeseOverload

Chinese Fillers

The Hot Garlic Sauce Mushroom had some real hot and spicy flavors which the earthiness of the mushrooms helped cut through. Went well with the veg. fried rice served along with.

Biryani

The Chicken Biryani had a generous smattering of fried onions on top, with lovely flavors permeating throughout the biryani. Vimanzza guarantees a chicken leg piece in every biryani which would please the biryani pundits. Also their way of packing the biryani in reverse order, which makes it easy to dump the entire stuff on a plate, is well appreciated by the customers. #DeliciousDelicious

Desserts

The Chocolate Walnut Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream is absolutely one of the best brownies I have ever tasted. Insanely delicious, warm and moist inside, this again is custom made for Vimanzza Café. #YumYum #HighlyRecommended #BestEver

Vimanzza Café is a perfect amalgamation of music and food, a place to unwind and have some fun with friends. It’s a perfect spot for a quick bite or a cuppa coffee or tea, whichever way you roll, on your way to/from the airport. Close proximity to Symbiosis also helps in tapping the millennials.

A big shout out to Praphul for inviting me and Team Vimanzza for hosting us.
