The Burans Resto-Bar is a recent addition to the developing Bavdhan food scene. Having derived its name from the Burans flower, also known as the rhododendron flower, partners Ajit and Kamal have attempted to integrate aspects of the flower and the shrub into the place.

Good ambiance paired with peppy, yet unobtrusive music allows the customers to hold conversations without having to raise their voices. The seating is comfortable, and tables have sufficient space between them, which makes it easy to enjoy your evening without your elbow getting into the dishes on the adjoining table. 😊
The Remember Me is made with vodka and fresh watermelon liqueur, topped with cranberry juice, watermelon chunks, and basil leaves. The sugar-free version that I tried was really refreshing and had the expected zing of watermelon.

The Burnt Garlic Chili Paneer had such soft pillow-y chunks of paneer, perfectly marinated in the sauce. The strong flavor of garlic and bell peppers was quite evident in every bite. #DeliciousDelicious

The Murgh Tikka as well as the Tandoori Jhinga were cooked in a clay oven. While the prawns were cooked perfectly, the chicken felt slightly chewy. Probably a minute away from being perfect. The spice rubs on the meats were on point, though.

The Veg. Spring Rolls Shot were served in shot glasses with hot garlic sauce at the bottom. A different way of presenting, however the taste was as expected. Light and crispy coating with generous portion of julienned veggies stuffed inside. #YumYum

I was particularly intrigued to see Imli Glazed Kungpao Chicken on the menu. Having never heard of this combination before, I was enticed to sample it. The lovely glaze of the tamarind provides another level of flavor to the popular kung pao chicken. Absolutely delicious flavors, this. Wouldn’t mind coming here *just* to have this. #YumYum #HighlyRecommended

The chef at Burans is planning to include the essence of the Burans flower into the dishes served at the restaurant, thereby establishing a stronger connection with the name. With live music, finger-lickin good food and creative cocktails, Burans has provided Bavdhan with a new breath of fresh air.
A big shout out to Kamal for inviting us and Ajit and Team Burans for hosting us.
The Burans Resto-Bar is located at Bavdhan.
