Ganache by Sanaya – Baked with Panache

Ganache by Sanaya is the result of a home baker’s dreams come true. Bubbling with enthusiasm, Sanaya decided to convert her passion and knowledge into a commercial venture. Having completed a professional course, she started her own company “Ganache by Sanaya”a couple of years ago.

Having personally met her a few times, I can totally vouch for her vivacious nature and her passion for baking. She has already made a name for herself as an excellent home baker and cake decorator. Her cupcakes too are worth a mention.

Her delicious cakes and jars have already earned her lots of accolades, having been covered by Pune Times, Golden Sparrow, City Shor and Polka Café. She is also the winner of an internet contest by Amazing Cake Ideas – “Designer of World’s Best Cake”.

So imagine my surprise when I come home in the evening from work and see a beautiful hamper from Ganache waiting for me, courtesy Sanaya Musani herself.

The Plum Cake was a boozy dessert version, having been made with Old Monk rum. I decided to have this a day later since it would allow the rum to seep through into the cake. Great decision as the cake was absolutely delicious. Still soft and moist, thanks to the rum; the cake managed to retain the flavors of the plum as well. This large cake was polished off within minutes. It’s priced at Rs. 1400 per kg and Rs. 1500 per kg if covered with marzipan and fondant. #YumYum #HighlyRecommended

The Jumbo Cookies were literally jumbo in size [duh!], barely fitting on my outstretched palm. Expecting the typical cookie full of gooey goodness, this was one a little disappointment as it turned out to be too crumbly. Unfortunately they were too sweet for my liking; blood sugar raising sweet. The cookies are priced at Rs. 450 for a pack of 5 or Rs. 850 for a pack of 10.

The Decadent Chocolate Jar and Shirkhurma Jar were absolutely divine. Me being a die-hard chocoholic, personally I loved the chocolate jar which had alternating layers of chocolate mousse and chocolate cake. The Shirkurma Jar too had some good flavors however could’ve balanced the ratio of sevaiyan to dry fruits a little more.

The Decadent Chocolate Jar are priced at Rs. 175 for a 200 ml jar and Rs. 275 for a 300 ml jar. The Shirkurma is priced at Rs. 950 per liter or Rs. 200 per jar for a pack of 5 jars.

The Nutella Cupcakes were a chocoholic’s fantasy cum [er, come] true with chocolate cupcakes with Nutella on top and a chocolate mousse ball buried deep inside. The Cherry Sundae Cupcakes were stunning to look at and had some very interesting flavors. These are a new addition to her cupcake portfolio. #ChocolateOverload #YumYum #HighlyInstagrammable #DeliciousDelicious

The Nutella Cupcakes are priced at Rs. 475 for box of 6 while the Cherry Sundae Cupcakes are priced at Rs. 350 for box of 6.

The individualistic chocolates were packed in a pretty sheer bag and contained Plain Milk [850 per kg], Plain Dark [800 per kg] and Sea Salt [additional 150 per kg] chocolates. The plain and dark chocolate were the regular ones however the sea salt chocolates are a new addition to her burgeoning repertoire and they were delicious as hell. Lovely hit of the saltiness amongst the chocolaty-ness. #HighlyRecommended

Having already proved her class and mettle, Sanaya seems determined to take Ganache to newer heights and hotter temperatures than ever before! #HappyBaking
