The hotel has recently launched a Weekend Staycation package to encourage patrons to indulge in a rejuvenating weekend with a lot of activities and facilities included, without burning a hole in your pocket.
The property has always held a special place in my heart, it being my go-to place for corporate or team lunches or dinners and the hotel has also been extremely kind enough to invite me to their special food festivals at their in-house restaurants. So, when I got an opportunity to enjoy a staycation there, I was ecstatic. And the fact that the week leading up to that weekend was an extremely hectic one, only upped my excitement and I was looking forward to spending some quality time unwinding from the week’s workload and relaxing by the pool.

The weekend staycation package is valid only on Friday and Saturday check-ins and offers you a Deluxe room for 1 or 2 guests and ranges from Rs. 5,000-6,000 per night.
The package includes
- Deluxe room with 1 King or 2 Twin/Single Bed(s)
- Buffet Breakfast at MoMo Cafe
- Buffet Lunch at MoMo Cafe
- 60-minute Spa treatment for 1 or 2 guests as applicable
The deluxe rooms are quite spacious [about 355 sq. ft. / 32 sq. m.] with floor to ceiling, soundproof windows and a living/sitting area. Welcoming us to the comfortable room was a plate of chocolates with a handwritten note from the Marketing Manager welcoming us to the hotel and wishing us a pleasant stay. While that does not take much efforts, it was an extremely endearing gesture on the hotel’s part.
A wonderful gesture
The beds are extremely comfortable which ensures a peaceful sleep at night, ensuring you awaken fully rested and ready to take on the day.
There is also a desk provided in each room with ample connectivity options (some chargeable) for any writing work that you may wish to complete. Plush, ergonomic chairs provide good lumbar support.
The room also has bottled water, which is complimentary, as well as a coffee / tea marker for your use. The mini-bar is well stocked with juices and beers.

While every hotel room provides AC rooms with individual controls on temperature, what impressed me most here is the effectiveness of the AC. When you key in your access card to bring the room to life, it hardly takes a few minutes for the AC to kick in and the room to cool down. That’s quite a relief especially when you’re coming back from humid conditions or after a workout.
The bathroom had a marble floor and provided all the accessories you would want or need to get ready for the day or to unwind at the end of an eventful day. Toiletries share space with a hair dryer at the wash basin. Courtyard Marriott also provides robes and slippers for added comfort and sanitation.

The other facilities in the premises include a fitness center, a swimming pool as well as a full-service business center. We had a ball of a time by the pool and the fitness center and enjoyed the hospitality of the business center as well.

Since the package included lunch at MoMo Café, we immediately headed for lunch after checking in to our rooms. The café is spacious with the buffet counters running along the length of a long wall with the kitchen behind it. The opposite side had the live counters for chat.
The lunch buffet spread
Lunch included nearly 40+ dishes across chat items, salads, tandoor and Chinese dishes. Enough to satiate anyone’s appetites.
Breakfast the next morning had the usual suspects on the menu – eggs made to order, breads, cornflakes, freshly cut fruits and freshly squeezed juices, Western options and sides as well as South Indian dishes. Tried the omelets with chicken sausage and potato wedges and the pancakes. Being freshly made to order, everything was just scrumptious.

The package also includes a 60-minute spa treatment at Tattva Spa, housed on the lower level of the hotel. It’s an extremely serene and peaceful place, just as a spa should be. If it doesn’t seem welcoming when you walk in, it’s difficult to enjoy the full benefits of a session that’s meant to relax and detoxify you.

The treatments included in the package are Swedish Massage and Deep Tissue Massage, both costing between Rs. 3,000-3,200 for a 60-minute session.
The Swedish is a medium pressure body massage, which uses one of the most effective massage techniques. The masseur will use various traditional, long kneading strokes to energize your body. The Swedish massage targets tired muscles and enhances blood circulation.
The Deep Tissue therapy helps reduce adhesion and loosens muscles. Highly customized to the customer’s needs, the masseur will focus on relieving muscle tension and pain from your tired body by leveraging a higher pressure in the massage.
Considering my aching shoulder blades and lower back, I opted for the deep tissue massage. You are also given an option to choose the essential oil to be used for your massage, each with its own benefits. The oils available are Vishram Oil, Pavitra Oil, Pranati Oil and Dhyana Oil. The Vishram oil helps to relax the mind and body while the Pavitra oil helps to cleanse the mind and detoxify the body. The Pranati oil helps to energize and rejuvenate the body while the Dhyana oil help to induce sleep and a meditative state of mind. I opted for the Vishram oil.
The essential oils available
Tattva uses essential oils with natural flower extracts and vitamin E enriched olive oil. Their fragrances are very subtle, to give the customer a perfect milieu of relaxation.
While I cannot get into details of the session, I can definitely say it was an extremely relaxing massage as the masseur will ensure all the knots in your muscles are kneaded out. A massage worth the price, one that was highly needed after the rigors of the past week.
